Alice Welch young Alice Lee Welch peacefully entered into her Eternal Rest with the Lord Friday May 23, 2003 in her Brookdale home.  She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend. Alice Lee is survived by her husband of 55 years, O. Robert (Bob), daughters Patricia Welch of Santa Rosa, Margaret Hardy of San Jose, Jane Lawson of & Joe Lawson, daughter in law Debbie Welch, grandchildren Andrew, Sally & Tim Welch, Tiffany Birtwell, Paul & Laura Lawson & Toby Nigrelli.  She joins her son Walter already entered into rest met her husband at Wichita University in 1946 and married in 1948.  Stricken with polio only three months after her marriage, she never let it stop her.  She dedicated her life to her family, creating a deep love that holds them together especially in this time of loss.  After living in Kansas, Iowa, Texas and many other places through her life, she settled in San Diego California in 1958, Saratoga in 1963 and Brookdale in 1986.  Alice Lee was an active member of the Episcopal Church, where she made many dear lifelong friendships.  Her strong abiding faith in God was the driving force in her life.  She was a member of the Episcopal Church Women, the Women's Auxiliary Guild, a Sunday school teacher at Saint Andrew's Church in Saratoga, and a Cursillo Rectora.  She ran a successful small marketing business from her home, enjoyed arts & crafts, crossword puzzles, gourmet cooking, Lawrence Welk, Campbell, sons Howard Welch of Palo Alto and Mark Welch of Brookdale, son’s-in-law Earl Hardy December 1999.  Alice Lee was born February 11, 1928 and schooled in Belle Plaine, Kansas.  She QVC and her "Soaps".

Alice always had a song in her heart & voice in the bath, while cooking dinner or doing chores.

She was an active affiliate in the Property Owner's Association in Brookdale, as well as a campaigner  for the Legalization of Medical Marijuana.

Memorial Services in celebration of her life were held Sunday at 1 p.m. June 1st. at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, Riverside Ave. @ Glen  Arbor Rd. Ben Lomond California, and Saturday June 7th at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church 13601 Saratoga Avenue, @ Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga.,
California. (408) 867-3493. This Church's Columbarium is her final resting place.

Donations may be made in her name to Hospice Caring Project 6851 Soquel Drive, Aptos, CA 95003.
